JUDAH HALEVI IN JAPAN

The medieval Jewish poet, Judah Halevi wrote:

My pen is my harp and my lyre
My library is my garden and my orchard

These books are made from soft and beautiful Japanese wood and papers. For me the colours and textures of the materials suggest vivid landscapes, gardens and orchards, sea, sky, field at the turn of a page, and bring to mind the poet's words.
