BOOKBINDER & ARTIST

After studying English Literature I took an evening class in bookbinding and discoverd a new way to respond to texts. I recently completed a BA in Book Arts and Crafts where I developed my traditional craft skills and began to make artworks, often using books as my raw material.

I love to make beautiful books - rebinding favourite novels or designing sketchbooks. I'm also interested in experimenting with structures and combining books with drawing and sculpture to explore ideas and tell stories. In my bookworks, I try to take art off the gallery wall and put it into the hands of the viewer, to give them a personal and tactile experience.

I have exhibited in London (see below) and my work has been sold at the Victoria and Albert Museum Shop, London Artist's Book Fair at the ICA and Joseph's Bookstore in North London. I undertake commissions, often working with other artists and writers to design and make one-off books for their work.

I hope you enjoy my work and the website.
